A brief History Clinique Ferrière the First Clinic…
Clinique Ferrière has offered services for more than 70 years and is in fact the oldest private clinic in Mauritius. Joseph Anthony Ferrière, a renowned physician founded a clinic at les Casernes. After his death in 1929, the Clinique Ferrière was run by a council of Doctors and became the major medical center on the island. Mother Marie-Augustine, born in Mauritius, founded the Congrégation Notre Dame du Bon et Perpétuel Secours in 1850. Truly devoted to their vocation and evangeligal values they committed themselves to the care of the needy. In 1962 the Clinic was handed over to the Congrégation and moved in the heart of Curepipe. | | | | |
